When Macey was found by a Stray Rescue volunteer in Cuba Missouri in August 2009, the volunteer was appalled to find that she had been shot in the chest with a pellet gun! Macey has since adjusted quite well to her new life as a family pet.

Macey will easily adapt to a “lazy” or “more active” lifestyle. She is eager to go for walks and rides great in the car, but also loves to snuggle next to her foster mom on the couch (especially with a rawhide bone)! Macey really enjoys playing outside, so her forever home should have a fenced yard.

With the proper introduction, she would enjoy another energetic canine to play with, but would be just as happy as a solo pet. Macey seems to be quite interested in cats, but her foster home doesn’t have cats, so it is debatable whether this is a good interest. Macey does very well with children of all ages, but has amazed her foster mom with her gentleness when around babies and toddlers. Macey walks well on a leash, and is totally potty trained and crate trained. She is spayed, up to date on her shots, and heartworm prevention. Fill out an application to meet this sweetheart
