Mahi Mahi was rescued in October along with her six adorable fish puppies: Albacore, Caviar, Guppy, Mackerel, Minnow and Sunfish, who were only a few days old. Exhausted from her life on the streets, malnourished and dirty, Momma Mahi was very frightened of humans when she first came to her foster home, but selflessly took care of her babies, and between feedings, slept whenever she could. It did not take long before she was literally eating out of her foster mom's hand and rolling over for belly rubs. Now that her pups are adopted, the dog that is all about love, loyalty and snuggling is looking for her forever home. Mahi Mahi knows basic commands, walks great on a leash, gets along with other dogs/cats (once she gets to know them), and will make a wonderful companion for one lucky family.
